What does my child wear for class? Girls enrolled in Dance/Ballet should wear pink leotard, with or without skirt, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Dance/Ballet Boys should wear sweats/shorts, t-shirts and black ballet shoes (optional). Kids enrolling in Gymnastics/Fitness Classes should wear shorts/sweats & t-shirts. No Jeans, Belts or Dresses. All classes should wear Ballet Shoes.

Where do I buy dance wear? Step by Step sells all required dance attire. Go here for order forms.

How do I place a dancewear order? Complete order form, attach payment and drop in the SBS Tuitition Box/Holder by 9am on class day.

How long will it take for orders to be filled? If in stock, they will be delivered to your child the following class week.

Can I return dancewear? Yes, as long as item(s) are not worn and in original package. Contact cohen@stepbystepdanceacademy.com for returns.

Can I return an item after my child wears it? If an item has been newly purchased (1 month or less) and you have noticed a rip or tear. SBS will refund or exchange.

How do I get my dance order? All dancewear orders are delivered to your child's center on scheduled SBS day.

Does Step by Step offer classes outside my child's center? No! Step by Step is a mobile program that teaches children Dance, Gymnastics & Fitness Classes on site. Step by Step does not have a studio space.

How do I enroll in Step by Step at my child's center? Complete an enrollment form, attach payment to it and drop in the SBS Tuition Box/Holder and your child's center.

What are the session dates? All Session dates/times are stated on the enrollment form.

What does a class cost? 30 min class is $11 and 45 min class is $13.

Are Sessions $40/$48 a month? No! Sessions are based on the number of classes scheduled in the session.

When are payments due? All payments are due on the first day of the session by 9am at your child's center. If payment is submitted after this date/time, a $10 late fee will be incurred. Additional fees will be applied, see website for more details.

Are Payment Plans available? Payment Plans are available upon request. Contact cohen@stepbystepdanceacademy.com to request one.

When can I enroll? We accept enrollment for Session 1 until the last week in November, Session 2, until last week in April, and Session 3 Anytime!

Are fees prorated? Yes

Can I observe? We limit observance to the Step by Step Holiday and Spring Show. For more details visit website and refer to Observation Policy.

When are the Step by Step Holiday Show/Spring Show? Shows are scheduled on the last class of the session same time as regular scheduled class. Email notification will be out the month prior with finalized details.

Are there any Holiday Show/Spring Show observation rules? Our program policy is to limit parent observation to the Winter and Spring Holiday shows and ask that parents not observe their children during regular class hours. We have instituted this policy in order to keep the students focused on the dance lesson and avoid the "emotional response" that occurs when young children see their moms and Dads. This policy also helps the other students who then want to know "where their parent is".

Are there any costume fees or recital fees for the SBS Show? No!

What happens if weather does not allow for class? If more than 2 days are cancelled due to weather, we will extend session 2 by a week. See website for more details.
